According to Government Resolution No. 160 dated July 8, 2005, within the scope of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy’s /former name/, the Renewable Energy Science and Production Association /Corporation/, “100,000 Solar Homes” Project, and “Solar Cell Factory” “National Center for Renewable Energy” was first established to conduct research and analysis on the use of renewable energy and increase its efficiency, to implement projects with domestic and foreign investments, and to perform technical supervision as a customer for new and newly built objects with state budget funds. , solar, wind, water, biomass and geothermal resource research, development of equipment, technical use, service norms and standards, research and introduction of new environmentally friendly energy sources and technologies.
The National Center for Renewable Energy is administrative and financial department, 5 research sectors, design and technical control within the framework of the structure, rules and personnel approved by the Minister of Fuel and Energy /former name/ Order No. 61 dated July 21, 2005. has been working with a total of 66 people with the office and the solar cell factory.
In addition to the “Renewable Energy National Program” and “100,000 Solar Homes” national programs, the center has successfully implemented the “Bogd River HPP Renewal” project and the “Renewable Energy “Usage Support” project and “Renewable Energy Monitoring in Rural Electricity Supply” projects implemented with World Bank grant funds were appointed as the Project Implementing Organization.
