It was decided to establish an international-quality “Zamyn-Uud Land Port” using the “Regional Logistics Center” in Zamyn-Uud soum, Dornogovi aimag.
Minister of Road and Transport Development S. Byambatsogtod was instructed to complete the technical and economic feasibility study and design of the dry port within the second quarter of this year, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development Ch. Khurelbaatar and Minister of Finance B. Javkhlan were instructed to estimate the required funds and take decisive measures.
Relevant members of the Government were instructed to negotiate with foreign and domestic partners on investing in and jointly using the port.

The purpose and importance of establishing a dry port in Zamyn-Uud are:

Reducing the cost of trade of Mongolian consumer goods, or reducing transportation costs and transportation times.

Connecting the markets of neighboring countries of Russia and China, as well as Asia-Europe, and increasing transit revenue.

It will improve domestic export and import trade turnover.
It is worth noting that a dry port is a logistics center with international characteristics, with developed transportation modes such as road, rail, and air transport, and with cargo processing capacity.
